Dr. Beverly Whipple is an outstanding woman. With a Bachelors and master’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in counseling, and a PhD in Psychobiology, with a major in Neurophysiology, she is a Professor Emerita at Rutgers University of NJ., a certified sexuality educator, sexuality counselor, and sex Researcher, Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality Fellow and an American Academy of Nursing Fellow. Her research focuses mainly on women's health issues and the sexual physiology of women. Dr. Whipple is the co-author of several books: The international best-seller, The G Spot and Other Discoveries About Human Sexuality, in 22 languages and re-published as a Classic 23 years later.

Dr. Whipple has appeared on over 300 radio and TV programs, has delivered over 800 talks and keynote speeches, published over 200 research articles and book chapters, and has been featured in hundreds of magazines, In 2013, she was named one of the 10 Sexual Revolutionaries You Should Know by Cosmopolitan magazine.

In 1982 and 1983 she was named one of the People to Watch by The Philadelphia Magazine. In 2006, for their 50th anniversary, the New Scientist named her one of the 50 most influential scientists in the world.

Dr. Whipple is a member of a number of Honor Societies and received the Alumni Achievement Award in 1983 and was named An Alumni Fellow in 2007 by Wagner College.

She is also the recipient of over 115 awards, including The Hugo Beigel Research Award for research excellence and the best article published in the Journal of Sex Research, The NJ State Nurses’ Association Award for Excellence in Research, From the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality she received the Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award, the Public Service Award, the Kinsey Award, and the Bullough Award for the most distinguished book written in 2006.

From the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) she received the Professional Standard of Excellence Award and the Distinguished Service Award. She also received the Brisben Foundation award for Excellence in Women's Health, The NJ League for Nursing Diva Award, The Gold Medal from the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) for outstanding lifetime contributions and achievements and from the Society of Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR) she received the distinguished Masters and Johnson Award for her exceptional lifetime achievements in sexual health.

Then In October 2013, a new scientific research center in Puebla, Mexico, was named after Dr. Whipple "El Centro de Investigacion en Sexologia: Dr. Beverly Whipple".

Dr. Whipple was President of AASECT for 2 years, Vice President of the World Association for Sexology for 4 years, Secretary General/Treasurer of the World Association for Sexual Health 4 years on the Board of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health for 2 years, and the President of SSSS for a year.

She is also an Honorary Member of the Board of the Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (FSSS). Dr. Whipple lives in Voorhees, New Jersey with her husband Jim since 1962, over 50 years. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. Be*****@********le.com
