Aline Zoldbrod, Ph.D. is a Boston based licensed psychologist and AASECT certified sex therapist and Diplomate and the author of three well-regarded, commercially published books about sexuality and relationships. Her book, SexSmart: How Your Childhood Shaped Your Sexual Life and What to Do About It has been translated into Spanish, Turkish and Polish and won ForeWord Magazine's award for being one of the top three self-help books published that year (1998). Zoldbrod has been publishing in the professional literature on sexuality since 1992. In addition to articles in peer reviewed journals, she has contributed chapters on sexuality to medical textbooks. Her ideas are cited in the professional literature on sexuality and relationships. Her website, SexSmart.com, has a wealth of ideas and resources to help you understand and enjoy your sexuality. Dr. Zoldbrod is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program.

More recently, she served as IVillage’s Expert on the Mismatched Libidos message board for a year. and formerly had a column on HisandHerHealth.com entitled “Life from A to Z."
Dr. Zoldbrod is recognized by her peers nationally for her creative, active, psychotherapeutic interventions and for her many contributions to the field of sex therapy. The creator of the interpersonal theory of sexual development, The Milestones of Sexual Development, she is interested in exploring the factors which make it possible for a person to allow themselves to be both emotionally and sexually attached to the same person. Known for being an engaging, warm, funny and provocative speaker and teacher, Dr. Zoldbrod has been the invited keynote speaker throughout the US, and in Canada and Australia. She frequently speaks to physicians at Grand Rounds and at conferences. She has been lecturing about sexuality to national and international mental health professionals for over 20 years. Dr. Zoldbrod is based in Boston, where she is in private practice, seeing individuals and couples for sex therapy, couple therapy, and individual therapy.
